Large South Coast Map Wall Hanging
The South Coast Map Wall Hanging is a piece of home for those living along this beautiful coastline or have a soft spot for it. The beautiful white sandy coastline with it's clear, blue water make it one of Australia's best.
This piece is made slow and truly by hand. The artwork is all hand illustrated and the design is then screen printed manually onto hand loomed African Mudcloth. The fabric is sourced from Côte d'Ivoire in West Africa, where men of the village hand loom this amazing raw cotton into strips, piece by piece. The strips are then all hand sewn together to create the fabric.
These pieces are sold in small drops due to the nature of this fabric os handmade and especially with Covid these days quite rare. These pieces are sold in small drops also is in line with Atlas' sustainabilty practices. These are slow made and therefore these are one off pieces, each one different and unique

Product Information
A natural cotton hue, the beautiful fabric tells a story of it’s past life. No two the same. Therefore each one will alter from the other and may look different to the the one featured in the image. Each one different and beautiful in its own way.
The fabric is sourced from around the globe, yet the pieces are hand made in Australia. The art pieces are made slowly and with care, therefore they are made in small limited runs as the material is quite rare while minimising wasteage.
Short Tassel Mudcloth Fabric Dimensions will vary between the following; on the larger size of 130cm wide and 90cm with tassels and some pieces on the smaller side of 108cm wide and 85cm long including tassels.
Long Tassel Mudcloth Fabric Dimensions will vary between the following; around 100cm long by 122cm wide including tassels. Tassels are around 10cm in length.
Note: Wall hanging comes as is, without the wooden dowel and string. To achieve the same look as featured in the image, you can purchase Tasmanian Oak wooden dowel from your local hardware store. (22mm wide and have the legth cut to around 750mm.) Cotton string can be found at various stationary stores.
